Current field
The official player page separates ATP and WTA fields. On the ATP list, the ranking identifies current tour position, a bracketed number identifies the Cincinnati seed, and WC marks a wild-card entry; these labels answer different questions.
Entry list versus draw
Cincinnati’s July 15 release described the initial singles field and reported 24 Americans across the men’s and women’s entries. Withdrawals and replacements after that announcement mean the live player page and published draw are the better final checks.
Seed placement
The tournament FAQ explains that the No. 1 seed is placed on the first line and No. 2 on the last, with other seeds assigned to predetermined lines. Remaining players are then drawn into the open positions, so ranking order is not the same as draw order.
